The Sparxx System assists retailers in translating
their Internet presence into the real world wherever they
would like it to be. From the retail salesroom floor to
a high-traffic shopping mall, or common area, Sparxx
can bring your company there.
Thanks to the Internet, the Sparxx System allows
a business to remotely operate and maintain kiosks located
in disparate locations. This system gives a business the
ability to update its content and manipulate the features
upon their kiosks from a central location.
Starting with an ordinary, off-the-shelf PC, the Sparxx
System produces interactive, multimedia kiosks with
state-of-the-art technology including touchscreen interfaces,
high-impact audio and video support, and web cameras. In
order to support your customers with the latest multimedia
content via the Internet, Sparxx kiosks employ a
web browser and application designed specifically for this
new interactive medium.
Whether you're displaying pure information or entertainment
on your kiosks, your company has control over its content.
Additionally, Sparxx can also support media supplied
by third-parties (such as advertisers) to the kiosk as often
as needed, thanks to its proprietary administration system.
The Sparxx AdminTool allows for the monitoring of
kiosk activity, the updating of its content, remote control
of the kiosk, and system troubleshooting. Once the software
has been installed, a Sparxx technician can administer
the kiosks in the system from any Internet-linked PC.
Sparxx includes several powerful tools to make
the system administrator's life a little easier. The scripting
feature allows an administrator to create macros (small
programs used to automate processes) and send them to kiosks
for execution. This allows files and Windows settings to
be updated without the need to send a technician into the
field. The system also can be configured to constantly monitor
the kiosk's system to ensure that no unauthorized applications,
such as games, are installed onto the system.
The Sparxx System allows for incredible scalablility.
Sparxx was constructed to support thousands of
kiosks installed anywhere in the world with an Internet
connection: either dial-up service, cable modem,
or ADSL modem.
No other kiosk management system comes close!
The Sparxx System consists of two major components:
the Server and the Client. The Sparxx Server listens
for incoming requests from client kiosks and administrator
applications and manages the flow of information between
all participants. And the Sparxx Client
runs as a service on the kiosk PC and whose only purpose
is to send information about its status and that of the
running software back to the Sparxx Server.
